Service Description

When the Light Fades A Forest Therapy Sound Walk After Dark The forest is different at night. As daylight fades, our relationship with the landscape begins to change. We see less and listen more closely. Sounds become more vivid. We become aware of textures, movement, and sensations that can easily go unnoticed during the day. For this special evening at Buds in Bloom, we’ll experience the sanctuary after dark through a combination of Forest Therapy and Soundwalking. We’ll move slowly together through the forest, pausing for sensory invitations, periods of listening and silence, and opportunities to explore the sense of touch without relying on sight. We’ll use lights while moving through the sanctuary and turn them off when we stop, allowing the darkness itself to become part of the experience. And we’ll experience it together. When we can’t see as clearly, we may listen differently. We may become more aware of one another, too. A sound heard together, a moment of uncertainty, a shared discovery, or simply knowing that someone is beside us can change how we experience the dark. This is part of what makes this evening different from a typical Forest Therapy walk. We aren’t simply entering the darkness. We’re entering it together. Our route will remain in the safest areas of the property and will not include the creek or waterfall. After our time in the woods, we’ll return to a fire for warm tea and time to settle into the evening together. We’ll return to the light, the warmth, and one another, carrying with us whatever we noticed along the way. This isn’t a hike, and there is no destination to reach. There is nothing you need to accomplish or know beforehand. Simply come curious and open to experiencing the forest, your senses, and the people around you in a different way.
